Privacy Policy
Covenant One is designed around private, intentional introductions. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to covenantone.app, the Covenant One mobile application, text messages, telephone and AI-assisted voice interviews, application and profile reviews, introductions, date coordination, support, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Covenant One is currently intended for adults participating in the Nashville, Tennessee pilot. It is not directed to anyone under 18.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact and account information, such as your name, email address, and telephone number.
- Eligibility information, including age confirmation, general location, Protestant Christian identification, and intention to pursue marriage.
- Profile and matching information, including photographs, interests, hobbies, relationship goals, family goals, faith practices, church involvement, lifestyle, preferences, availability, and your answers to application questions.
- Communications with us, including texts, support requests, safety reports, date responses, and post-date feedback.
- If you choose a voice interview, call audio, a transcript, and structured information derived from your answers after we disclose the use of AI and recording or transcription and obtain your consent.
- If verification or screening is introduced, the information needed to request those services. We intend for identity documents and highly sensitive identifiers to be submitted directly to the applicable provider whenever practical rather than stored by Covenant One.
- Payment and transaction information if paid membership is introduced.
Information collected automatically
We may collect device, browser, IP address, app version, authentication, diagnostic, security, delivery, call, and usage information needed to operate and protect the Services. We do not use sensitive member answers for third-party targeted advertising.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Receive and review applications and determine basic pilot eligibility.
- Create member-approved profiles and maintain accurate preferences.
- Develop, evaluate, and explain potential introductions.
- Coordinate availability, public venues, dates, reminders, and feedback.
- Provide text, telephone, email, and customer-support communications.
- Verify identity or conduct screening when separately disclosed and authorized.
- Prevent fraud, investigate reports, enforce our rules, and protect member safety.
- Improve reliability and evaluate the founding-cohort experience.
- Comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
4. AI-assisted processing and human review
Covenant One may use artificial intelligence to conduct or transcribe an application interview, summarize answers, draft a profile, organize matching factors, identify missing information, support match recommendations, and prepare plain-language match explanations. We may also use deterministic eligibility rules and human review.
We do not intend to infer honesty, religious sincerity, race, ethnicity, mental health, intelligence, attractiveness, or personality from a person’s voice, accent, confidence, vocabulary, or speaking style. An AI system will not be the sole decision-maker for final admission, safety actions, or background-screening decisions during the pilot.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose information:
- To another member only as part of a proposed introduction and according to the profile visibility and contact-release rules presented to you.
- To vendors that provide hosting, authentication, communications, voice processing, AI, analytics, payment, identity verification, screening, security, and support services under appropriate contractual restrictions.
- When reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect a person from harm, enforce our terms, comply with legal process, or protect our rights.
- As part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate protections and notice where required.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Voice recordings and transcripts
We will disclose when an interview is conducted by AI and when it will be recorded or transcribed. Participation is voluntary, and a non-voice alternative will be available. Raw audio will be kept only as long as reasonably necessary to produce and confirm the application, investigate quality or safety issues, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Confirmed transcripts, profile drafts, and structured answers may be kept with the application or member record as described below.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain the integrity and safety of the community, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention depends on the information and purpose. We may retain limited fraud-prevention, consent, transaction, safety, and deletion records after an account is closed when permitted or required by law.
8. Your choices
- Review and correct your profile before it is used for introductions.
- Decline a proposed introduction without contacting the other person.
- Reply STOP to opt out of non-essential text messages.
- Choose a written application alternative instead of a voice interview.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your information.
- Withdraw consent to future processing where processing is based on consent.
Some requests may be limited by security, safety, fraud-prevention, recordkeeping, or legal obligations. To submit a privacy request, email support@covenantone.app.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send Social Security numbers, identity documents, payment-card details, or other highly sensitive identifiers through ordinary text messages or email.
10. Text messages and telephone calls
Our use of text messaging is described in the SMS Terms. We will request appropriate consent before initiating an AI-generated voice call. You may explicitly request a callback through the process presented to you.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the pilot develops. We will post the revised effective date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes affecting sensitive data or consent will be presented before they apply to future participation.
